ROBERT CHARLES RANSOME

 

 

Mayor 1866 – 1867.

 

Member of the Liberal Party.

Primarily a Nonconformist – – Member of the Society of Friends – Quakers, but later became a member of the established church – Church of England.

Robert entered the Council in 1859 as one of the representatives of the Middle Ward.

 

Born: 1st June 1830, St. Margaret’s, Ipswich.
